PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA — Indonesia’s national Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team, under the Indonesian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PERTACAMI), delivered an impressive performance at the GAMMA Asian Championships 2026, finishing fourth in the overall medal standings with a total of 15 medals.
The Indonesian team secured five gold medals, five silver medals, and five bronze medals at the Asian championship, which was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, from July 29 to August 2, 2026.
The continental championship brought together amateur MMA athletes from across Asia, with the PERTACAMI delegation competing across several divisions, including junior, U21, and senior categories.
Indonesia’s five gold medals were won by Dominic Gabriel Vincentio in the Boys U14 46 kg division; Mutiara Pricilia Rori in the Women U21 47.6 kg division; Delvi Nurfadillah in the Women 47.6 kg division; Yusni Nurhayati Hutasoit in the Women 56.7 kg division; and Jon Setiawan Saragih in the Men 65.8 kg division.
Strong Performance Across All Age Groups
PERTACAMI Chairman Tommy Paulus Hermawan said the achievement reflects the positive development of Indonesia’s amateur MMA athlete development program, from the junior level through the senior division.
“Winning 15 medals at the Asian level is a tremendous achievement for Indonesia. More than the number of medals, we saw courage, discipline, and strong competitiveness from our athletes as they faced some of the best opponents from different countries. This achievement demonstrates the great potential of Indonesian amateur MMA athletes to compete internationally,” Tommy said.
He added that the results would provide valuable momentum ahead of Indonesia’s next major continental competition, the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
“This achievement is also an important foundation for the upcoming Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Three Indonesian athletes have currently qualified to compete at this prestigious Asian sporting event. PERTACAMI will ensure that all three receive the best possible preparation while continuing to strengthen athlete development and regeneration from the junior to senior levels so that Indonesian MMA can continue to grow sustainably,” Tommy added.
In the junior categories, Indonesia collected one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.
The gold medal was secured by Dominic Gabriel Vincentio in the Boys U14 46 kg division. Two silver medals were won by Lukas Oliver Lubis Sedlak in the Boys U18 65.8 kg division and Bumi Magani Abraar Himara in the Boys U18 70.3 kg division.
Meanwhile, Manayra Maritza Hersianti Siagian contributed a bronze medal in the Girls U18 47.6 kg division.

One of PERTACAMI’s Best International Performances
PERTACAMI Head Coach Marcos Tulio Machado described Indonesia’s performance at the GAMMA Asian Championships 2026 as one of the team’s strongest performances since the PERTACAMI athlete development program began in 2024.
According to Marcos, the athletes demonstrated courage, determination, and a strong fighting spirit throughout the championship while representing Indonesia on the Asian stage.
“For me, this was one of our best performances since we started the PERTACAMI program in 2024. The athletes’ discipline and commitment to following the training program were key factors behind Indonesia’s success. The achievement is even more meaningful because several athletes had to compete while dealing with injuries during the preparation period,” Marcos said.
The coaching team will now continue the athletes’ training program according to the established periodization plan while prioritizing injury management and recovery.
“Moving forward, we will continue our training program based on the periodization plan that has been established, while ensuring that their injury treatment and recovery processes are properly managed,” Marcos added.

Tommy explained that the Asian Games are now the federation’s next major priority. Three PERTACAMI athletes have successfully qualified to represent Indonesia at the 2026 Asian Games: Gibran Alfarizi, Vallensia Fahira Hotmauli, and Ananda Wahyu.
The three athletes will compete in the Traditional MMA and Modern MMA categories.
“The three athletes have been participating in the national training camp since March and have the experience and technical understanding required to represent Indonesia. We will continue to ensure that they receive the best possible preparation in terms of technique, physical conditioning, strategy, and mental readiness,” Tommy said.
PERTACAMI views participation in the GAMMA Asian Championships 2026 as more than an opportunity to win medals. The championship also provides Indonesian athletes with valuable international competition experience and serves as an important benchmark for evaluating their abilities against athletes from across Asia.
The experience gained in Putrajaya is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the development of amateur MMA in the region while providing an important foundation for the national team’s preparations for upcoming international competitions.
With continued athlete development, structured training, and international competition experience, PERTACAMI remains committed to building a stronger national MMA team capable of competing consistently at the Asian and global levels.
