Korea MMA Federation Sends National Delegation to the 3rd AMMA Championships in China

The Korea MMA Federation participated in the 3rd Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association (AMMA) Championships, held from January 9 to 11, 2026, in Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China.

The Korean delegation was led by Park Pyeong-hwa, Senior Vice President of the Korea MMA Federation and co-CEO of Black Combat, serving as Head of Delegation. Jeon Yong-jae, Secretary General of the Korea MMA Federation and Honorary Chairman of Zeus FC, served as Deputy Head of Delegation.

The 3rd AMMA Championships brought together athletes and officials from across Asia, providing an important platform for regional competition, athlete development, and international cooperation in mixed martial arts. The event also carried additional significance as it was connected to qualification pathways for upcoming major multi-sport events, including the Asian Games and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The Korea MMA Federation stated that its athletes were selected through a fair and structured process across weight divisions, with the delegation supported by coaches and officials to ensure strong preparation and professional team management.

Park Pyeong-hwa emphasized that participation in the event would allow Korea to evaluate its current position on the international stage and gain valuable experience for future growth.

During the championships, the Korean delegation focused on competition performance, operational coordination, athlete support, safety management, and the collection of technical references to further strengthen Korea’s MMA development system.

Through its participation in the 3rd AMMA Championships, the Korea MMA Federation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Korean MMA, supporting athlete development, and contributing to the continued growth of amateur mixed martial arts in Asia.
